TECHNICAL GUIDELINES

Photography:

  • All Photo content is shot with a 3-exposure HDR. 

  • Ensure a baseline exposure of +1 F-stop, with over and under-exposure as required for your kit.

  • Capture exterior content at 55 - 75mm (Small spaces are an exception)

  • Capture interior content at 16mm (Wide).

  • High-value details and features are captured at 35mm.

Videography:

  • Standard widescreen video content is captured in 30fps, 1920 x 1080p

  • Vertical video content is captured at 30fps, 1080x1920p

  • If both Reel and standard videos are being captured simultaneously, capturing only in widescreen in 3840 x 2160 is an option.

  • Colour space is REC709. S-Log 3 is an option for experienced videographers.

  • Aerial Video content is captured at 60fps, 3840 x 2160

  • Agent/Talking head segments shot at 55mm unless otherwise specified.

  • .MP4 File Extension




SHOOT GUIDELINES

Administrative:

  • Receive Assignment.

  • Read through the notes and job specifics.

  • Confirm via email reply to the most recent booking email.

  • *If you notice anything incorrect or odd about the shoot (or have any general questions) ALWAYS contact Admin for support ASAP.*


Preparation:

  • Map out the route to the location to understand the travel time and distance.

  • View a street view of the home to get an idea of size, parking, etc.

  • Prepare any needed equipment - ensure batteries are charged, the gimbal is stabilised, etc.

  • Prepare any additional “might need” equipment. (Additional batteries, microphones, etc)

  • Ensure a professional appearance and hygiene.


Arrival:

  • Park away from content to be captured.

  • Assess the weather and lighting, then plan exterior/interior captures accordingly.

  • Introduce yourself to the resident or client.


The Shoot:

  • Inspect the location for cleanliness, lighting, and any notable features.

  • When shooting with a client present, ensure a friendly demeanour and pay close attention to all requests and questions.

  • If you notice anything about the home while the client is present, discuss changes and suggest alternatives that may need to be made for a better product.

  • Shoot content in a preferred sequence to avoid missing content. 

  • Use your polarized filter to reduce harsh light reflections.

  • Be aware of any mirrors or reflective surfaces. Doors, decorations, etc


    *If at any point you feel unsafe, or if you feel the location is not ready for photography please contact admin ASAP. *


Delivery:

  • Upload all captured content to your computer.

  • Keep all content captured on local storage for a minimum of  1 week.

  • Delete any blurry, unusable, or unwanted content.

  • Ensure the following file labelling format: AMG_123ADDRESS_001.

  • Sort the content based on the flow of the home. (Software such as Adobe Bridge is useful).

  • Ensure content quantity matches the requested number.

  • Upload footage to the Ardent Create portal.

  • Content should be uploaded the same day before 11:00 pm.



INVOICING GUIDELINES

Invoice 

  • Submit invoices to billing@ardentmediagroup.com each Friday for any work completed in the previous week, with admin@ardentmediagroup.com copied on the email.

  • Payment terms with AMG are Net-7 Days.

  • Invoices should be addressed to:

  • All invoices that include tax must have an HST Number listed.

  • Include all remittance information on each invoice.

  • When calculating the invoice total, refer to the Payout Guide - if there is any uncertainty on what should be included, please reach out to Admin before invoice creation.
